Terms of Service
Last updated 13 August 2026
Agreeing to these terms
These terms cover your use of cordial.space and the Cordial app. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use them.
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. Where the two documents touch the same subject they are meant to say the same thing; if you find somewhere they do not, tell us at hello@cordial.space and we will fix it.
What Cordial is
Cordial helps people see when their friends are free and plan time together. The app is not publicly available yet. Today this site offers a waitlist and a way to ask us to text you.
Because it is early, things will change. Features may be added, altered or removed, and the service may be unavailable at times.
Who can use it
You need to be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian.
Text messages
If you ask us to text you, the same terms in our Privacy Policy apply: we text you about Cordial invitations and plans, never marketing; message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply; and you can reply STOP at any time to stop, or HELP for help.
Only give us a phone number you control.
Submitting someone else’s number is a misuse of the service. The consent we record is a statement that the person holding that number agreed to hear from us, and it is worth nothing if it is not true.
Using Cordial responsibly
Please do not:
- Use Cordial to harass, threaten or deceive anyone.
- Submit phone numbers or email addresses that are not yours to give.
- Try to break, overload or probe our systems, or work around our rate limits and security.
- Scrape or bulk-collect information from the service, or resell access to it.
- Impersonate anyone, including us.
We may suspend or remove access that breaks these terms, and we will take the least drastic step that resolves the problem where we can.
Your content
What you put into Cordial stays yours. We need your permission to store, copy and display it in order to run the service — for example, showing your availability to a friend you shared it with — and that is the only reason we use it. We do not claim ownership, and we do not use it to advertise to you.
What we do not promise
Cordial is provided as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will suit a particular purpose. It is a pre-release service and you should not rely on it for anything important, such as an arrangement you cannot afford to miss.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of Cordial. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
You can stop using Cordial whenever you like. To have your information removed, email hello@cordial.space — the Privacy Policy explains what we delete and names the one record we keep, which is the permanent do-not-contact hash that stops us texting someone who asked us not to.
We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or if we stop offering the service.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top. If a change matters — if it affects what you agreed to rather than how it is worded — we will give notice rather than rely on you noticing.
Governing law
Cordial operates from California, and these terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and applicable United States federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in California.
If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
